MOANZ ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Stubvid Media. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and transparent manner.
1. Information We Collect
When you use MOANZ, we collect:
- Account Information: Email address, username, and authentication data when you sign up via Email, Google, or Apple Sign In.
- Profile Information: Your chosen Moaner archetype, avatar, and display preferences.
- Content: Moans (posts) you create, reactions you give to others' moans, and hashtags you use.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, including points earned and league standings.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the MOANZ service
- Calculate league scores and standings
- Personalise your experience (e.g., AI Moanify suggestions based on your archetype)
- Send important service updates (you can opt out of marketing emails)
- Improve and develop new features
- Ensure community safety through content moderation
3. AI Features
MOANZ uses artificial intelligence to enhance your experience:
- AI Moanify: Suggests improvements to your moans. Your content is processed by OpenAI's API but is not used to train their models.
- Voice Transcription: Converts voice recordings to text using OpenAI's Whisper. Audio is processed in real-time and not stored.
- Avatar Generation: Creates unique profile images based on your preferences.
All AI processing is done server-side through secure, encrypted connections.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- Service Providers: Supabase (database/authentication), OpenAI (AI features), and Vercel (hosting) — all bound by data protection agreements.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your profile and personal information are deleted immediately
- Your moans are anonymised (author shown as "Deleted User")
- Backup copies are purged within 30 days
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
- Erasure: Delete your account and data (available in app Settings)
- Portability: Export your data in a readable format
- Object: Opt out of certain data processing

7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
- Secure authentication via Supabase Auth
- Row Level Security on all database tables

8. Children's Privacy
MOANZ is not intended for users under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
